By placing our trust in any of the "future techs" to solve today’s environmental problems, we run the risk of postponing the actions that mattered. Carbon capture is one of those technologies we’ve engaged in to give us an impression of action; perhaps, unconsciously, in order to cover up our anguish, our helplessness or our guilt. 

Yet we need to keep moving forward. Art has this kind of energy, charismatic and unifying. If I believe little in technology to save humanity, I keep hope in humanity, in its conscience, in the universality of its love. If only one power is given to artists, it is that of being able to touch, sometimes, the hearts of men.
 
"Landscape with Carbon Capture" is a critique of my own environmental consciousness as an artist working with technology around natural themes. Although I do not know any solution, although I am helpless just like you, I want to fight with what I’ve got. I want to acknowledge the great hypocrisy of our times. Carbon emissions are here to stay, they'll stain my canvas, no matter how green the colours on my palette.

Lakhey is a loving demon in Kathmandu folklore. Lakheys are said to be demons who used to live in the forests and later became protectors to the townspeople. 

Lakhey is generally depicted with a ferocious painted face, and a mane of red or black hair. Lakheys prominently figure in in traditional Newari culture of Kathmandu but are found in cultures in other parts of Nepal as well. 

Majipa Lakhey is one of the prominent ones in the culture of Kathmandu. Majipa appears during the Yenya (Indrajatra) festival and is worshipped as a deity.

Inspired by the design work of Bauhaus textile artists such as Gunta Stölzl, Anni and Josef Albers, 'Lebras' combines the proportions of both the Silver and Golden Ratios (1.414:1 and 1.618:1 respectively) to create a versatile five-column grid, within which unique compositions are formed. 

Repetition, material, balance, and overlaps are used to generate a near-endless variety of designs, ranging from ultra-minimal, to rhythmic and textural. Four fabric types are available, further adding to the authentic textile quality of the outputs.

Einform is an experimental generative art project with the object to create 999 unique outputs within the limits of narrowly set code constraints. Each image consists of not more than 5 colors and is entirely created using only rectangular shapes in its varieties. The code is written in Python and rendered in Processing.
