An original, high-res, pencil-drawn illustration for my short, 'young adult+' book 'The Wildness Within and the Tree of Eyes' about a boy who finds a tree of all human perception, or tree of the mind. 

It possesses an eye for all things, to look through, or into....

But what he finds within this tree is the growing human perception concerning Nature, evolution, or the Earth, as opposed to human inventions like religion, etc... A new age waiting to dawn, of new priorities...

Although over 10 years old, the conversations in this book now seems relevant to a time of the arrival of Artificial Intelligence, where we gaze up and converse with our own human interpretations of the world, and potential to exploit it and one another... You can imagine an AI chatbot or chat-gpt for the Tree of Eyes, where you're in fact talking to Mother Nature within. Maybe, it will tell us how to care properly for it, or align ourselves better with it, via permaculture, sustainable technology, top-down and bottom-up solutions...

Perhaps it's a good idea to heed that what is buried within this 'AI tree' is the blue eye of naturalism, the force of evolution and change, and our environment, shaping all things...
