Floating in Dreams 

Lost amidst a dreamlike landscape, a person finds solace amidst towering trees and swirling fog. The hazy atmosphere creates an illusion of stepping back in time, where the boundaries of reality blur and one can truly be 'Lost in Time'.

My first paid minimal mint, marking a new stage in the sickart.eth/A5ht4r art journey.

There is a contemplative and meditative quality to extreme geometric minimalism.

- In some cases the spaces are as important, if not more important than the painted shapes. The spaces can give us a place to relax, to defocus and then take in the piece as a whole.  
 
The name is a tribute to one of my favourite ambient albums by Boards of Canada. I think it resonates a lot with the theme of extreme minimalism and the name fits with the arrangement of two columns of squares.

A homage to one of my favourite artists - the late Agnes Martin.

I love her "field" type pieces which contain organic strokes in a semi rigid geometric pattern which appears more natural and asymmetrical the closer one looks.

In my version the organic feel comes from the painting textures rather than the shapes, because unlike Martin I like to have perfect (or near perfect squares). 

For me it creates greater contrast, the perfect versus the imperfect, side by side. Sharp clean lines against rough, gritty chaos.

There is something very pleasing in it, but it needs to be balanced right because too much can ruin what I'm trying to create.

Obviously my versions will never approach Agnes because she was a genius.

Once upon a time, in a land filled with hopes and dreams, two people danced under the stars.

My story starts with two people who loved each other. They would argue and disagree, but at the end of the day, as the stars started to twinkle, my dad would lift up my mother's tired hands and swing her into a slow waltz. They would dance to a song only they could hear and the worries of the world would be weightless for a brief moment in time.

Choosing a whisky is like choosing an artwork. 
Although everyone has different tastes, the important thing is to experience and enjoy the emotions it makes you feel.

Do you ever feel lost in all this noise? That you’re screaming into the void and nothing is being heard?

We all get those feelings now, don’t we? I know I do. 
But on a cold winter evening, in a small mountain town, amongst the fog, it feels like bliss. That no one can hear me, no one can see, I am invisible in the faint horn of a car coming around, or the old dog sniffing around for some nibbles, or that big vapor light shining through the mist. That feels peaceful and it feels……. Quiet.  
So, I bring this piece to you, as a gentle reminder to myself to seek out these moments, where it’s bliss to stay lost, in this rat race of standing out of the noise.

I had been bullied my entire childhood. My friends made fun of everything from how I looked to how I moved my eyes or smiled etc. The bullying was also physical. I got kicked, punched, and that drove me to depression and hate myself.

In all these turmoils, photography was my saviour. It was my guiding light in the dark. It was the only thing I was truly proud of because it was my deepest secret. It was the only thing I felt I was good at, and I never got bullied for it.

Had I never found photography, I would not be where I am today.

During my photography journey, shortly after four years, I found NFTs, and since then, many things have changed. I had never sold my art before, but I knew with NFTs and Web3,  I would succeed. It took me nine months to get my first sale. That brings us to today. To this day, I have sold out all of my 1/1s and a big edition.

This photo right here shows my passion for photography and making art. The night I took this photograph, I remember my app forecasted it was between a 2% and 3% chance of seeing the Auroras. I waited for 50 minutes to see Northern Lights at a particular position in the sky and got my first shot (a combination of many). After 20 minutes, I got the last image. However, I waited for more hours to try my luck for an easier Photoshop combination, but in vain.

This is what I love; Making art, having adventures, doing things against the odds, just being in nature, capturing the beauty of it, enjoying the sound of the wind, the sound of the waves, staring at the stars and dreaming big.

However, the path to big dreams feels lonely at times. I have spent a lot of time alone in my life, and I enjoy it. But I had always wished to be around like-minded people. That’s where the Web 3 community steps in.

We are all ”a little crazy” to the outside world, but we’re proud of ourselves and we’re there for each other. We celebrate ups and downs together and get back up together. Never have I seen a community like this before.

This community has changed my life, and the support I’ve got from fellow artists, collectors and friends since I started in this space in January/February 2021, when I entered the space for the first time, is incredible.

This piece is my gift to you. You have changed my life, and I'm so grateful to be able to have friends like you, and a community like this around me.

Let’s all continue being a little crazy.

An abstract piece representing what I hope is to come for Ethereum and the crypto community in general after the Merge. 

This was first created in Stable Diffusion AI. Unfortunately the resolution was only 512 x 512. Upscaling introduced too many artefacts to be useable so I had to repaint it in Corel Painter. The final result is almost completely repainted at 8192 x 8192 pixels. 

-I hope it still retains the essence though and I hope you like it.

My first minimal painting using portrait orientation. 

This uses a triadic colour harmony (plus black) for the basis of the colours. For me it creates a feeling of peaceful visual meditation.
