Welcome Collectors of On The Road, whether you have collected photography from me before or not.

This token represents a commitment to the holder at any given time. You may sell it if you wish but it is a gate token (the “Gate Token”) for future airdrops…and it’s your access to some games. Yes, we are going to play some games...kind of (see below).

On The Road featured 99 unique NFT’s of 15 images, of varying rarity. They were made free to anyone who wanted them…fastest finger first (the “Original Holders”). If you claimed one, well done…if you claimed more, then you’re in a very good position.

GAME 1

This Gate Token was airdropped to the Original Holders of On The Road NFTs on 12 August 2022.

Original Holders have until midnight (UTC) on 30 September 2022 to sell however many On The Road NFT’s that you have in your wallets (buy and resell others if you want to too). Each sale will get you ETH from the sale but it will also give me, Greg Whitton, a royalty of 10%. At midnight on 30 September 2022 the cumulative total of royalties for ALL secondary sales of On The Road NFTs received by me, up to that point in time, will be calculated and ADDED to the total WETH received by me, Greg Whitton, from the original sale of the 3x 1/1’s in the collection together with any WETH I had in my wallet at the time (for the avoidance of doubt, this total is 0.25825WETH). This total of secondary sale royalties together with the WETH above will be the ‘Game 1 Reward’.

The Game 1 Reward will be split evenly between the buyer of the highest value of all the secondary sales, the seller for that specific sale, and myself…3 ways. This may not be any of the Original Holders. The Original Holder for the highest sale will also receive an airdrop of a 1/1 photo NFT, to be determined by me, Greg Whitton. All Original Holders who manage to make a sale will receive an Edition of a new image minted to the OTRv1 contract (Quantity and date of Airdrop TBD).

Price as high or as low as you want, promote as much as you like, it all adds up if there is a sale. Go...

A very popular tourist attraction in Jaipur is the caravan of Elephants that provide rides to tourists at the Amber Fort. Standing in the way of one of these magnificent animals as they enter through the gate is not for the faint of heart and it took several attempts to get the image I wanted. Although a colourful spectacle, the practice of providing rides to tourists and keeping these animals captive in any capacity, except perhaps for conservation purposes, is not something I agree with and as such did not partake in a 'ride'.

Shot in the early morning during a visit to Yangshuo, China, in the early days of my exploration into photography, this peaceful scene feels almost apocalyptic as the rising Sun is diffused by a heavy backdrop of smog. Air quality is such a problem in China that photography can be a real challenge as famous scenes can easily be completely obscured from view.
