Europe After the Rain is a collection dedicated to the aesthetics of post-war Europe, in particular France.

The photograph of Jimmy Hendrix holding Pikachu during the Woodstock festival is a treasured artifact of a little-known but magical moment in music history. 

Legend has it that Hendrix was backstage, tuning his guitar and trying to shake off the nerves that always came before a big performance. That's when he saw a small figure darting around the legs of the festival staff which turned out to be none other than Pikachu.

Intrigued, Hendrix picked up him up and examined the little fella closely. Something about Pikachu‘s bright yellow fur and cheeky grin made him feel lighter. Without thinking, he tucked Pikachu into his jacket and headed out onto the stage.

As he played, Hendrix felt a strange surge of energy coursing through him. The crowds went wild, cheering and dancing as the music filled the air.

The photograph reminds us that sometimes the most unexpected things can inspire us to greatness.
