The result of 2 years of planning, 12,000 kilometres travelled and 5,000  
feet climbed: 2 minutes 30 seconds of a near-horizon total solar eclipse  
over the Pacific Ocean. Photographed from a remote location above La  
Higuera, Coquimbo Region, Chile on June 4, 2019.

This tiny part of Chile was the only place in the world where the 2019  
total eclipse, which occurs when the moon moves between the sun and  
Earth, was visible.

The location I chose was planned months in advance, high enough to be  
above the marine layer, remote enough to be away from the crowds, and  
as close as possible to the path of greatest totality.

It's so easy to fixate on a single thing and not see the big picture. The Sun's corona is undeniably beautiful, but the effect that the total eclipse had on the sky and Earth affected me even more profoundly. My sense of connection to the Earth, and to humanity, renewed.

This mesmerizing photograph captures the corona, a celestial focal point from which the aurora converges upon Earth's atmosphere. Its surreal beauty defies comparison, presenting an otherworldly spectacle that transcends all I've ever witnessed. In this image, the aurora assumes the form of a Phoenix, rising and dancing its way across the upper atmosphere like the mythical Phoenix rising from the ashes. 

Each aurora is unique, changing by the second, making this particular phenomenon all the more extraordinary. As the corona radiates its ethereal glow, this image serves as a testament to the breathtaking diversity and wonder of our planet's natural wonders.

This tree is the perfect subject to capture. Round, alone, with an beautiful view of the French mountain, just across Geneva lake. I wanted to take an infrared shot of this tree for months when I started learning this technique, but without any leaves, the results were not satisfying.

But in May 2022, this little ball of leaves has been captured at 720 nm and I couldn't think of a better image to represent what infrared is for me. With all the filters and the new possibilities for creation, I am blooming in a way that I've never felt before

Asiatic Lions have their last home in the Gir forest of Gujarat in India. Once widespread over Asia and the Middle East, they were hunted and killed in large numbers. Other environmental factors like deforestation reduced their numbers to less than 200 in the late 19th century and were restricted to the Gir forest region. But with support from the local community and the Forest department, considerable efforts to save the last of what remains have been successful. Their numbers are rising gradually to more than 700 or more as per the latest census.

This image is of Asiatic Lion cub who is the future generation. He might grow into a mighty ruler of the jungle one day.  
This edition is dedicated to them and an attempt to spread a word their story.

It was an eventful night during NFT NYC 2022. I was waiting for a couple friends to meet up with for a late night walk and realized I had a chance to head to the UBS building while I waited. UBS has an art gallery in their lobby (their lobby gallery is open to the public during the weekdays). I had seen this piece from Sarah Morris ('UBS Wall Painting') countless times during the day, I approached at the right time to get this shot. The art is actually an abstract view of the city grid, providing a striking backdrop for this night scene. 

A funny thing when I thought of this in comparison to Web3/NFT's is the highlight of art, not only as the art itself. UBS is a wealth management firm so the juxtaposition of wealth tied to art was very fitting.

This photo is the exclusive visual story of the last buffalo shepherd in Dokuzpınar Village of Kayseri Province, Turkey. The buffalo shepherd is on his way back home with his herd, consists of about 500 hundred buffalos.His journey begins in early morning in Hurmetci Grasslands and ends near the bank of a creek while his herd is crossing the creek under the sunset light and dusty path.

Into the Light

I'm a French professional photographer living in the Westfjords of Iceland, the most remote region of the country. During the last 10 years, I've been involved in scientific studies conducted by the Nature institute of Iceland and have extensively documented the harsh life of the Arctic fox (Vulpes lagopus) and other species in Iceland.

"Breathe" is a drone shot of a Humpback whale (Megaptera novaeangliae) taken in October 2022.

It's the first part of a new work documenting Ocean conservation in an environment subject to strong fishing and fish farming pressure. It's aimed at raising awareness on the dangers of a constantly growing human activity that leave little space for the wildlife to breathe.

When we moved to Sydney in 2018, I chose our apartment for one reason: the view. It was a photographer's dream.


Sydney is famous for its New Year's Eve fireworks and I knew I had the perfect vantage point. On New Year's Eve in 2019, I shot 104 of images. Each image froze a few seconds of the midnight show, but it didn't capture the magnitude of the experience.

JRNY Magazine was founded during the first months of the pandemic back in 2020 on the bases of supporting and pushing the arts forward during these tough times. We believed in building a community of likeminded creatives from around the globe to produce a travel magazine with a difference. Telling stories that inspire and fire up the wanderlust whilst changing the way travel journalism operates with long form writing, hi-end photography and no advertising, just pure content. Our dedication, innovation and drive to make something unique and special has been recognized within the industry when we were awarded Travel Magazine of the Year for our very first issue. 

JRNY was formed in a web2 world with a web3 mindset, we believe in the power of art, community and support and this belief system is at the core of what JRNY stands for. Because of this it made perfect sense for us to bring JRNY in to web3 and become the first travel magazine to tokenize the entire content of a physical magazine. It has been many months in the planning and we have returned to the drawing board on more than on occasion but we are here now and bringing the world of travel & destination journalism to the blockchain. It has taken longer than expected but it was imperative to us that we got this drop done correctly with the our community in mind whilst making sure we act in a responsible manner to continue to build and support creatives both in web3 and beyond. 

We thought long and hard about how to release our genesis token and finally settled on offering the community an opportunity to collect for nothing. JRNY is for the artists and we don’t want anyone to be excluded from becoming part of our journey. It’s our way of saying thank you for your support, sticking around during the tough times and all the work you are doing in growing and believing in the web3 space.

I am 2.5 years old and was born with a condition called “Microtia”, birth defects of a baby’s ear.  

Along with the donation campaign I created my 1st ever artwork to be dropped as NFT to support collecting the required  fund for the operations for my both ears.

Microtia happens when the external ear is small and not formed properly and usually happens during the first few weeks of pregnancy. These defects can vary from being barely noticeable to being a major problem with how the ear formed. Most of the time, microtia affects how the baby’s ear looks, but usually the parts of the ear inside the head (the inner ear) are not affected. However, some babies with this defect also will have a narrow or missing ear canal.

There are four types of microtia, ranging from Type 1 to Type 4. While Type 1 is the mildest form, and  Type 4 is the most severe type.

In my  case my  right ear is Type 3 and my left ear is Type 1. I can now hear with the device attached to my head called “Soft Band” but this device is only good till I am  5 years-old. After 5 years of age I will have to change the device and live with the device all my life.

The fact that my  “inner ear” is not affected by the disease and if the suitable surgery applied to open ear canals and my  auricles are restored I  can hear just like normal people without a device. My  parents have been through serious research since I  was born to find out what could be done for me  to be able to hear without a device. They had visited several hospitals and doctors, their research showed them that while the auricle restoration operation can be performed in Turkey, ear canal opening operation cannot be done. They finally found California Ear Institute and started communicating via emails. They provided the test results requested by the Institute. As a result I  was spotted as a perfect candidate for the surgery.

This surgery is a combined surgery that can be performed within 8-10 hours offering the ear canals can be opened and auricles can be restored.

The amount needed for the operations;

Left ear Type 1               $48,100

Right ear Type 3            $99,000

Total                                $147,100

As of November 10th $32,400 have been collected and $114,700 is missing

The surgery for the left ear is planned for January 25th and the total amount of $48,100 has to be paid in advance until December 10th.

Chapter 1: Twilight Lovers

Once upon a time, in a land filled with hopes and dreams, two people danced under the stars.

My story starts with two people who loved each other. They would argue and disagree, but at the end of the day, as the stars started to twinkle, my dad would lift up my mother's tired hands and swing her into a slow waltz. They would dance to a song only they could hear and the worries of the world would be weightless for a brief moment in time.

Chapter 2: Silent Night

In the moment between two days, in a sleepy town far from the cities, a little elf was brought into the world. Just like her parents, she was blessed with an insatiable curiosity and a longing to climb mountains.





Taken on Dec. 11, 2022, in Guwahati, India, at Kamakhya Devalaya. Many people came on this day to the temple to pray. In one area, incense was being burned. 

In 2013 my family and I moved to the South West of Western Australia, we'd already been visiting for over a decade, exploring each time we'd visit. After we moved to Busselton I set about exploring as much of the South West and the coast between the Capes as I could.

I've photographed this particular spot quite a few times, but never had the conditions that I wanted to photograph. A few months ago I headed back to Cape Naturaliste to do some hiking and decided to take my camera with me on the off chance that sunset was worth photographing. There was no way I could have predicted how amazing the sunset would turn out.

"Surviving" is a portrait of a blue morph Arctic fox taken in July 2021. The strength of the fox's gaze emphasizes the animal's determination and the resilience needed to survive in such a harsh environment. 

All proceeds of this open edition will be added to the fund I created to publish a book about Arctic foxes and help spreading awareness about their conservation.  


Southern Blue was created swimming around at one of the craziest waves on the planet, "The Right" located at the very bottom of Western Australia, some of the most powerful storms on earth are required to generate enough swell for waves to break on a gigantic underwater granite boulder. Only accessible via jetski or boat unless a complete lunatic, freezing cold water temperatures, an abundance of wildlife including Great White Sharks and powerful rip currents are the norm here. Swimming The Right requires a lifetime of ocean knowledge as mistakes are quite easily life threatening. The ocean out here moves in ways that boggle the mind, producing a sensory experience like no other. With the gigantic swells required for this wave to break, huge storms are generally prevalent on excursions to this wild place. Only on the rare occasion is there a day, when all of the elements align producing clean offshore winds and blue skies, making this extremely violent wave look almost perfect... This was one of those days.

We're All Gonna Make It

The photo represents the portrait of a magnificent venetian costume and mask dressed during the Venice carnival.

They’re handcrafted in a very few artesanal shops in Venice and delivered worldwide. 

The photo itself was captured during the evening, right after the sunset, under the colonnade surrounding the San Marco square.

The hard part in capturing these masks and isolate them is the amount of people always around, looking for a photo, a selfie with them or simply admiring.

I looked for a low angle to be able to capture the whole dress and a wide open aperture for a shallow depth of field.

"Finding Santa - A Christmas Story" - is Hugo Korhonen's debut book, and one of the first of its kind.

After writing and making this fictional world and story, Hugo went to Finnish Lapland to make the story come alive through photos. He believes to be one of the first, if not the first, to make this kind of a project in the whole NFT space.

He collaborated with many people to make this book come alive - as you can see from the "Acknowledgement" page in the book itself (Page 28).

His dad played Santa Claus, Hugo hired another artist to make a map of his fictional world and more.

The writing, photographing, and more, took Hugo many months to perfect.

Hugo is super proud to present this book on the blockchain. Making a book will remain a huge milestone in Hugo's artistic career.

Christmas is my favourite time of the year. I love all the traditions and the overall Christmas vibes. 

From watching traditional Christmas movies with my family to early Saunas, opening presents and watching Santa’s Hot Line on TV.

I've always loved this time of the year - and that's why in 2020 I decided to make my first special Christmas piece.

Many told me this is the best Christmas piece they'd ever seen - and that always meant a lot to me. After all, there are quite many photos with Santa Claus in them.

Anyway, making this shot was insanely fun. We stuffed a giant pillow to make my stomach bigger and then went nearby to take this shot.  
I set up my composition, and all the time I was as Santa. When people came close, I just went to hide, lol.

Anyway, I had the composition in mind prior to the shoot, and I knew I was going to replace the sky with the most incredible Northern Lights I had seen to that day in Kilpisjärvi, Finland.

We took the shot, and after the post-processing, this is the result. 

Still to this day, it's my favourite Christmas photo I've made.

Acclaimed singer, songwriter & GRAMMY award-winning artist Macy Gray releases her first NFT in solidarity with Ukraine. This inspiring NFT titled "All-Star Spangled Banner" combines a one-of-a-kind, soulful version of Gray’s performance of the national anthem with a heartfelt American flag artwork that represents the multi-racial diversity of the United States.

Out in the chack channel country of Australia, some of the roads don't seem like much, but they took me to places I never dreamed of existing. Wild times on my first trip to Australia.

Despite my nomadic life on the road for years, I know for certain that if it weren't for Robert Downie's bravely letting a traveling elf hop into his Outback pimped car, I would not have been able to see this insane landscape.
