Thomas Sankara was a prominent political figure in Africa, known for his role as the President of Burkina Faso from 1983 until his assassination in 1987. He is best known for his impassioned advocacy for social and economic justice, as well as his staunch anti-imperialist stance.

Sankara implemented a series of radical policies during his time in power, including land redistribution, nationalization of key industries, and a focus on self-sufficiency. His administration emphasized education and healthcare, sought to empower women and marginalized groups, and fought against corruption.

This great leader’s commitment to African self-determination and his determination to break free from foreign influence made him a beloved figure in his country and an inspiration for activists worldwide. Tragically, his life was cut short by assassination in 1987, but his legacy endures as a symbol of anti-imperialism and the pursuit of social justice in Africa and beyond.

Fighting the fight against the fight, my mind, a battlefield soiled with the havoc from errors  
that periodically hunt my soul in its wit for a truce.  
A truce with myself: to let be and let go.  
Desiring everything all at once but the mirror paints me a clown.  
It whispers, “you are your greatest lesson and you shall continue to learn, from the good and the bad, over and over again.”

I can’t…escape myself, so I stop.  
I catch my breath from the race against my shadow,  
swelling and deflating  
as I settle into my skin 
…..in acceptance.

“Let go of yourself to find yourself”

This is a phrase I ponder upon often. 
The act of letting go, to get rid of, creating space for and allowing for emptiness. 
In paraphrasing, you cannot accommodate newness without the performance of a purge. 
The heart, mind, and eyes are like doors, and we’re all houses. Which calls for the question, what are you welcoming into your home?

This piece embodies the phase of transitioning, a never ending cycle that is necessitated to the art of experience. In this body of work, imit0r’s character(The Dreamer) makes an appearance in the HOG universe in an all new demeanor of colors and radiance.  
This is depicted that embracing strangeness to elevate one’s inner soul is an act of meekness, welcome the fact that we’re subject to change while acknowledging that the control, ultimately, lies with us.

TRANSMIGRATION

“Delusionalism, the attachment to an idea that is false. 
At what point does falsity transform into verity? 
Of what benefit is clinging to reality?  
At what cost does one’s mind dare to dream?”

In the mistiness of process and creative direction, there was a disposition to convey the harboring thought that questions the quest for success and playbooks that necessitate certain rules.  
When should discretion navigate inwards, solely yielding on what the independent mind believes for oneself and not what we are expected to believe? 
This piece represents all those who have chosen to keep moving against all odds, rippling through life irrespective of the burdens of a present reality. 
For the greatest rebellion is not that which goes against rules but against oneself, hence, it takes confidence to dream, and to dream has no regulations.

I had a dream I was simultaneously every human that had ever lived and would ever live. I was given birth to and died over a trillion times in a trillion different ways on a billion different planets and I felt the warmth of a million different suns.

Everything blooms in its own time. Bloom II is a hand drawn mandala piece which depicts how i felt when i finally started taking art seriously. It felt like i finally found my purpose in life and for the first time in a long time, I was truly happy.

Love is a beautiful thing, sometimes it scares us because of how vulnerable it makes us but that doesn't stop it from being one of the best feelings we can experience, it would always be a gift to us as humans to be capable of Love.

This piece was inspired by Richard Avedon’s Nastassja Kinkski and the Serpent. Like Avedon’s work, this aims to show eroticism but in the form of a black body. With the snake on her back, both the model and the creature show an unspoken bond by the relaxed composure.

"As the silcon based hive mind propagates itself across the entire surface of the planet, Perion-5 is slowly transformed from a desert wasteland into some kind of celestial paradise. The planet itself has started to come alive as a symbiotic relationship is formed between the terrestial body and the new inhabitants forced onto its surface.  Since we banished them from our lands, our planet has continued to deteriorate while the barren wasteland they now call home has gone through a transformative metamorphosis. Maybe we were wrong about them. Perhaps they contain more of a soul than we do trapped in these husks of flesh and bone.   Sadly, they took with them the technology that allowed people upload their consciousness into the mainframe; the Transcendence as it is now called. To become a part of their celestial chorus would require traversing the 250 light years that separate us; a journey reminiscent of a slow death but many are willing still to journey into this... afterlife  *The second installment of an ongoing philisophical exploration of disembodied consciousness."
