X Li, an independent alternative music artist from Los Angeles, known for previous collaborations with major companies such as Sony Music Entertainment, Dolby Laboratories, and ByteDance, has now ventured into the web3 space with his latest project, "california love stories".

"Think I'm In Love With You" is the first NFT drop from "california love stories," which tells the story of X Li's chance encounter with a girl at an after-party near Melrose Avenue, where they fell in love at first sight.

"california love stories" is a collection of love stories set in different parts of California that capture a range of emotions, including sadness, heartbreak, joy, tragedy, anger, and longing. These emotions are brought to life through stunning digital artworks that come in blue, purple, yellow, red, green, and orange, symbolizing the various emotions explored in the music.

The project is a live band performance featuring fully handcrafted instruments that seamlessly blend popular, punk, classic rock, hip-hop, R&B, and electronic music elements. The project is produced by a team of renowned music producers, including platinum record producer James Chul Rim, known for his work on over 4 billion streams and TikTok chart-topping single "Wait a Minute!". The project also features a talented lineup of musicians, including Simone Sello, known for his work as the lead guitarist for Italian rock icon Vasco Rossi, and Edoardo Tancredi, a seasoned musician who has performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live and collaborated with artists like Avril Lavigne and Amelia Moore.

The project's sound quality is attributed to the talents of Lukas Cuman, who has worked with artists such as Ed Sheeran, Bebe Rexha, and Ultimo, and Gavin Lurssen, a highly decorated sound engineer with 12 Grammy nominations and 4 wins. Lurssen has worked on numerous film soundtracks, including those for Game of Thrones, The Mandalorian, Mulan, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, The Hunger Games, and Westworld.

To capture the essence of the music stories in "california love stories," we have chosen a simplistic art style created by New York-based artist Farrah Fisher. Her unique visual interpretations using minimalistic brushstrokes bring the emotions and narratives of each song to life in a captivating and unpretentious manner. This artistic approach adds a special touch to the project, blending the worlds of music and visual art seamlessly.

This release will be available as an NFT, allowing fans and collectors to own a piece of this music project. If you hold at least one edition of every song in this project, you will be able to claim a physical vinyl copy of "california love stories."

My mission with this song was to speak to those that question and challenge their existence in every sense of their being. There may be those that know this already, but just as a reminder, to reach success, whatever that word means, you must rid yourself of doubt and fear. Sometimes companionship and bet on yourself. All for the pursuit of happiness.

When we rid ourselves of limitations and take leaps of faith, those roads traveled are uniquely our own. It may be lonely and get dark at times, but one thing is for sure, finding that love, existing in it, whether external or self-love.

It's fuel, passion, and enough to help you reach fulfillment.

“David Blaine” is the debut of my singing era. With seven years of vocal lessons under my belt, I've written countless songs and “David Blaine” has stood out to my community as a golden single that everyone can relate to. I wrote this song when I was faced with mounting bills and the woes of modern day life. My relationship with the love of my life was the one thing that could lift me up and take me to a happier reality. I hope this will be a magical beginning to my upcoming singles and albums that incorporate the same joy and passion within “David Blaine.”

a lil background on the song:
too hot is actually 5 yrs old. the initial idea was originally made back in 2018 when we started the cudos project. so you could say it's collected some dust over the years. the reason being, we loved the idea so much + got great feedback from friends that we wanted to save it for a time when we felt it would get the justice it deserved creatively. now is that time!!

the song is abt how lots of people (us too) will come up w/ any excuse for why they should or shouldn't do something. no matter if it's good or bad for them. lyrically it also plays into themes of mental health, but in a light hearted way (a common theme for us).

anyway, this one's been sitting on the hard drive for far too long and it's definitely one of those summers bangers(hence the name). so, we hope you fuck with it!

Plastic is without a doubt one of the most special songs I've made. Evan and I wrote this in my Brooklyn apt 3 days before I moved out and came to LA. The overall tone and sentiment of the song just feels so honest and pure. It almost sounds like the song has been around for a while and I've already made memories to it when I was in high school. That's when I knew it was special. I sent it to Reo to see what he thought, and before he even texted me back I just got an email with a fully recorded vocal over it. I think Evan & Reo compliment each other so perfectly and I couldn't be happier to have them both on this.
