Through this series, Snowfro accentuates life's inexorable forward momentum—be it maneuvering through life's complex twists or riding the relentless currents of time, the emphasis is on ceaseless advancement. Each unique output of /// is segmented into various motifs, each depicting different stages of a Formula One race from the anticipatory tension before the red lights go out to the exhilarating rush of the fastest moments in the race. Base Bridge

*Apophenies* is an exploration of our innate human drive to find patterns - even in places where they might not exist.  Our brains, remarkably efficient, sift through vast amounts of information on just a few watts of electricity. Yet, this efficiency sometimes leads us to perceive connections that might only exist in our individual perceptions. Consider the moments when you've gazed at a cloud and had an apophenia: a face or some other familiar shape suddenly became clear to you, but the person next to you sees something entirely different. An apophenia, like art, is personal.  No two people experience or interpret it in the same way. 

*Apophenies*, an adaptation of the word “Apophenia,” underscores the series' theme of subjective interpretation. Each artwork is composed of randomly overlapping shapes. When these shapes intersect, they occasionally form patterns that will seem vaguely familiar. It's a testament to our inherent need to derive meaning from the world around us, even in pure randomness. 

This series isn't just about what you see, but how you interpret. It's a call to reflect on our individual and collective tendencies to create meaning, even when faced with nothingness.

On November 27th 2020, Snowfro launched Art Blocks, the internet’s first marketplace for on-demand, on-chain, generative art. Chromie Squiggle, the colorful generative algorithm Snowfro had developed for over two years, was uploaded as Art Blocks Project #0.   

Today, as both an object of art and an icon of history, Chromie Squiggle represents one of our space’s most influential collections.   

And in time, we believe Snowfro will be known as one of history’s most important artists.

Kim Asendorf, a digital artist from Germany, joined the net art movement in 2008 with a particular focus on exploring internet culture as an experimental environment for conceptual strategies. Asendorf's visual world is made of raw, visual pixels, inspired by nineties consoles and an era of computer graphics in which every attempt at representation would betray the abstract, rectangular shape of the pixel. In our contemporary world of interpolation screens, which present images with more pixels on the screen than actually exist in the image matrix, his works seem to pierce beneath the surface of the display and remind us of an earlier, more immediate relationship with the display.

Anyone who has sat daydreaming in front of a screensaver as a child, mesmerized by the movement on the screen and oblivious to their actual tasks, will find a sense of nostalgia and recognition in the absorption offered by Cargo.

In the high-octane world of racing, there exists a transcendent moment, often whispered about but rarely captured—the "flow state." It's that ephemeral space where drivers become one with their machines, where time seems to stretch, and every decision is made with unerring precision.  
"Flow State" is Oostenbroek's visual ode to this phenomenon. Through his distinctive lens, he distills the essence of this heightened state of consciousness, offering viewers a rare glimpse into the racer's mind. The artwork is less a representation and more a feeling, an immersion into the racer's world where everything else fades, and only the road exists. Experienced as a high resolution video "Flow State" is a testament to the confluence of art, emotion, and speed.

I want this piece to convey being alone with yourself, in your thoughts, in your own world. Not in a lonely way, but alone. These moments are often in the dead of night, perfectly still.
