Could AI be the modern day monster we’ve created?

Our lives and relationships are controlled through social media and algorithms that manipulate, control and could destroy us through our own psychology - needs, habits desires and weaknesses.

The ‘masters’ (society) want to be loved but we’ve created a monster and unlike Shelley’s monster, AI will not be driven by love.

They are coming  - Deus ex Machina.

It has been suggested that in “Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus,” the author, Mary Shelley, reimagined the concept “that human creative genius can create miracles, but that these miracles can also turn on man, and even lead to his destruction.” [1]

The story written in 1818 was about a scientist named Frankenstein who created a creature so hideous to look upon, that it was even rejected by its own creator. [2]

As a result of this rejection by all, the creature’s greatest desire was to find love and acceptance. When that desire was denied, the creature swore revenge on its creator. [3]

The Ohmies returned to Mt. Olympus and told of their heroic Journey. “The world is vast,” they said, “and there is much to see. We will build a marketplace here, to trade and showcase the wonders of the world.”

With the four Genesis NFTs as cornerstones, they built a vast and open marketplace. Here they put forth the mysteries of new worlds and artisans and challenged others to return with their own. The marketplace would be a platform to celebrate culture, discover new art, transact in their currency OHM, and implement new ideas. After their journey, they called this marketplace: Odyssey

The inspiration for this work came from discovering a sense of life in geometric patterns that are symmetrically arranged. With unexpected shapes and patterns, I tried to express the scary yet somehow charming atmosphere of Native American totem poles and indigenous Japanese Yokai.
