Each Nieux Brieux is masterfully brewed by the Director of Funk Derek Lintern with a goal to inspire you to dream, explore and try new things to foster a Golden Age of Creativity in New Orleans.

Nieux Society 504 Founder NFTs provide access to exclusive founder benefits. The NFT contains an original song Voodoo Magic by Big Freedia, BoyFriend, and members of Galactic. 504 Founder NFTs grant the holder 1 free mint and early access to our upcoming 10,000 generative NFT project to establish our membership base.

There are five symbols contained in the 504 Founder NFT:

1. The WIIW Crown represents What if it Works — a mindset to always believe in the sense of possibility.

2. The X represents the Nieux Campus, where we plant our flag.

3. The Arrow represents each member at the center of the dance between preservation and progress.

4. 5.0.4. Seeds represent our pledge to walk alongside those with deep roots in our city.

5. The Banana Plant is a symbol of generosity, abundance, and freedom. The banana tree is the reflection of our commitment to our community.

Some 504 Founder NFTs contain special rarity-based traits.

As of the first sale of the NFT, the new owner of the NFT is granted a worldwide, royalty-free license to copy, redistribute and create derivative works from the NFT artwork (excluding the song as noted below) in any medium or format and for any purpose including commercial purposes; provided, however, that immediately upon each subsequent transfer, sale or other dispossession of the NFT, this license shall terminate as to the former owner of the NFT and automatically transfer to the then-current owner.

The Nieux Society Collection is a collaborative project designed by New Orleans artists Jerin Beasley, Lindsey Roussel, and Rachael Noto that fuses art and AI to allow you to create a custom portrait reflecting individual identity & optimism for New Orleans' future.

Jerin Beasley's original portrait aims to reveal that underneath us all is a collective "What if it Works" mindset -which is why it is etched into its skull. The mended cracks and bandaids represent our belief in the flawed but resilient city & the X is a nod to the crossroads of a new era of creativity and technology. Plus, the 17 teeth smile recognizes the parishes in our city...intention of inclusivity.

“In Search of Your Digital Self” playfully explores the trend toward people becoming increasingly emotionally (and financially) invested in their metaverse avatars. Injecting a welcome sense of humor into the exhibition, Belitskaja presents us with an army of twelve curious bots, each with their own distinct biomechanics, marching toward the viewer in lockstep. Though we typically think of machines as being designed to perform specific tasks or work, the artist’s bots feature quirky plumage and imaginative ornaments that appear to serve no purpose other than self-expression. Each has its own sense of fashion, though most appear to be wearing the same shade of lipstick, perhaps in preparation for a night out in the metaverse.
