Daughters of Rainbow: 1523 unique and diverse daughters are containers to receive Rainbow Essenes from the universe.

This photograph includes most of the elements I like having in my compositions: nice colour tones, leading lines and sub-framing, scale and depth. The subject walking into the shadows leaves the viewer with a sense of mystery: where is he going? What is in the other side?

This photo has a certain rhythm and mystery to it. As in most of my work, you know nothing about the subject. You can only guess where he is coming from and where is he heading. I let the observers build their own interpretation, pretty much like an abstract painting, which evokes certain feelings in you.

This shot was taken in Bangkok back in 2018. This is when I started exploring street photography and high light-shadow contrast. This is a style that has followed me as I grow as an artist and a photographer. I find comfort where most people would find uneasy.

In October of 2021, Schmrypto acquired two shipping containers housing the collected unsold works of Robert Mallary, a pioneer in American digital art. This work comprises the bulk of Mallary's digital output during his time at Amherst from the sixties through the nineties and much more, spanning from childhood paintings created in 1925 to photoshop abstractions dating to the mid-90's. Much of the original code was also present, along with many thousands of pages of manuscripts. The Mallary Project is an effort to revive appreciation for the work of this visionary artist, and to eventually create a large body of CC0 art and code available to creators and artists of all types around the world. This is the first piece of media released by The Mallary Project, a 45 second short film attempting to give a taste of what is to come.

Essay: the purity and perfectness of geometric forms, such as circles, triangles and squares, bring certain balance and beauty to compositions. In this case, the semi-circle acts as both a compositional element and a leading line to the subject.

"Music is the arithmetic of sounds as optics is the geometry of light." - Claude Debussy

Essay: “geometry of light” might be one of the best definitions for photography. In the end, photographers use light to physically create a photo. The direction and strength of the light can significantly change a scene. For this shot, I camped in my window during covid lockdown and read the light throughout the day until I understood what the perfect timing would be.

"Geometry is the art of correct reasoning from incorrectly drawn figures." - Henri Poincare

Essay: geometry is purity and balance, but sometimes, if used appropriately, “incorrectly drawn figures” can give a more interesting look to a photo. In this case, the triangular shape is a reflection on the floor of a structure from Bilbao’s airport.

"Where there is matter, there is geometry." - Johannes Kepler

Essay: geometry is everywhere. All matter in this world is composed of particles that in essence could be split up into elements with basic geometric forms. Reversely, this photo represents a pure geometric form that can be split up into different layers and elements. One line is from a shadow, another one from the edge of a bridge and the third is from the edge of the sidewalk.

"Music is geometry in time.” - Arthur Honegger

Essay: as described in the introduction of the collection, Kandinsky is the best representation of the relationship between art, geometry, color, and music. Since this body of work is in black and white, we are obviously missing the color factor, however, all the photos keep reminding the observer of that rhythm, that music, that geometry brings to art. This photo was taken in Bilbao’s underground, where the mechanical stairs remind me of a piano, moving and transporting people around the city at a perfect pace.

Essay: geometry and beauty is an inevitable marriage. Geometry brings balance, perfect shapes, and the eye and the soul seek that perfection throughout our lives. Once more, these compositions can be created if you learn how to look. If the eye is not trained, one might miss these opportunities to purify the soul. In this case, I used different edges of a bridge and the stairs to frame the “wandering soul” crossing.

"The human heart likes a little disorder in its geometry." - Louis de Bernieres

Essay: sometimes if what we see looks too perfect, we feel uneasy since it seems unrealistic. We are not used to pure perfection because it doesn't exist and that is why our eyes always seek some “disorder”. The perspective in this photo gives that level of imperfectness because otherwise the composition would look too artificial. This photo was also shot during the covid lockdown from a window at home.

"There is geometry in the humming of the strings, there is music in the spacing of the spheres."- Pythagoras

Essay: music and geometry are related in so many ways. Geometry gives rhythm, the same way music does. Additionally, the repetition of geometric elements elevates and enhances that musical feeling. In this photo, the lines and the perspective creates a spherical movement towards the subject. Also, the repetition of the lines simulates the strings of a guitar, creating that “humming”, that music in the image.

"Mighty is geometry; joined with art, resistless."- Euripides

Essay: art in general has always been supported in geometry. The first art movement that is generally accepted as such, is the Egyptian. They would use geometric forms, scales, etc. to tell the story about their dead faraons. This photo has a very straightforward and simple composition, using the shape of the shadows to create a triangle in which the subject enters and exits without knowing where is coming from or heading.

Essay: geometry is widely used by human beings in so many ways, not only in art. We have the feeling of ownership but in reality, it is something that was given to us by the universe, a tool that we now use to create beauty in art. This photo was shot in the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao, using one of the big windows and part of the building structure to create many different geometric forms that frame the almost imperceptible subject.

Eminönü-Karaköy was connected for the first time by a wooden bridge in 1845. At the beginning of the 20th century, the need for a new bridge arose. Construction took two years. In 1912, the Historical Galata Bridge was opened. This bridge has provided great convenience to many people.

In addition, the stairs on this bridge offer great convenience to many people and thousands of people come and go. I loved the light and shadow here and such a minimal order appeared in my head and I photographed this moment after waiting for a while.
