The first thing you see is a face. Two eyes, a nose, a mouth stretched in an impossibly wide smile, showing off rows of cracked, crumbling teeth. Next you notice the skin: an acid-colored swirling pattern that looks like it would have the consistency of liquid latex, if you could only reach through the screen and touch it. In some of these pieces, whimsically demonic creatures perch in the face's mouth and eye sockets.

The faces are gruesome, playful, and trippy. They're vaguely reminiscent of Lewis Carroll's Cheshire Cat-which is appropriate considering that this is a generative collection influenced by psychedelics called Psychonautz NFT.

Psychonautz NFT consists of 9,999 unique works hand drawn by the artist Sander Jansen and is personally curated by Gabriel Santos. The collection features four different characters that were named by the GBLSTS team and Psychonautz community.

But maybe they will talk to the archeologist to see if he knows more than he is letting on with these old tomes. After he discovered that ancient tablet with the sacred letters, 'ABC', he was never the same Apepe. His notes and scrolls from his archaeology site were instrumental in leading the scientists to the ancient temples, lost to the modern Apepes in Kek-Os. “What were these two mysterious beings the tablet mentioned?” and “What were these ten sacred artifacts?” The notes had mentioned these temples resurrected in honor of these beings. Maybe they can help find the cure to the mysterious zombie affliction?

Around three hundred Apepes were inflicted with the mysterious disease. Sure they smelled, sure they were grumpy, sure they craved bizarre items for food and occasionally attempted to eat other Apepes, but they were still Apepes, deserving of good vibes and also mutual respect. The Kek-os scientists, however, weren't certain about how contagious the disease was or whether it could mutate into something far more horrible - they needed to find a cure, and fast.

The temples had to have an answer. Rumours mentioned a magical force in the temples, which the two scientists hoped could be harnessed to save the rest of Kek-os. After weeks of waiting, they had miraculously received funding from an anonymous donor. As curious as they were regarding the source, they were too focused on the actual search. All they knew was that there was something about a red pill. The two scientists rushed their way out, careful to not alert the others, and made their way to the first temple. They had no elaborate tools with them. Just some lanterns, a case to collect samples and a dash of hope. Little did they know what was in store for them.

There was a mummy's sarcophagus inside and they were able to extract some of the goo DNA from the mummy. But it seemed to not like being stabbed, as it started to move. The mummy broke out of its seemingly magic bounded wrappings and light exploded from the coffin, knocking the scientists back. 

They grabbed the vial and briefcase and frantically ran the way they came, being chased by the crazy mega looking zombie all the way out of the temple!  They barely got out with their lives. As soon as they caught their breadth, Dr. Winfield and Writzcreak laughed and laughed at how lucky they were to survive whatever that was. Now to get back to the lab to start working on their cure to save the Apepes!
