The first release of a collection of 555 Tokens representing the original VeeFriends community that supported the VeeFriends brand and concept from the very beginning.

This older man in Miago lives beneath the spiritual tree at the center of his village. The 150' tall tree is the source of much lore and legend. So, when 5000 bats suddenly roosted in the tree one season, the locals accepted that they were attracted to the tree's magic. Magic or no, when I arrived at the town to see what 5,000 bats looked like, I found a township that had moved to the rim of the tree's canopy. Five thousand bats affect a lot of guano. All the townsfolk except for this man. His hut was very near the trunk of the massive tree. 
I found him lazing back in his bamboo home, not caring about another visitor to his area. Then I asked my translator if I could take his portrait. He sat bolt upright with excitement. He had never had his picture taken. What a fantastic thing it is to experience something for the first time at so late an age.

This token is part of the “LFGTVC” NFT project, created by artist David Hu (@max.the.miata) in celebration of the success of Gary Vee’s VeeFriends (VF) project, the initial launch of which was sold out by June 2, 2021.

“LFGTVC” is the first-ever NFT project by David as an independent artist and was directly inspired by the support he received from the VeeFriends community.

This token is part of Series 1 of 3 in the “LFGTVC” project.

The artwork merges David’s cartoon creation, Max (inspired by the Mazda Miata), with an ape and a cockatoo (inspired by Veefriends). The characters are of David’s own design. The artwork has a blue-green background and white lettering.

This token is part of the “700: Gleeful Gains” project created by artist David Hu (@max.the.miata) in celebration of achieving 700 followers on his Instagram page.

The artwork in “700” is inspired by the VeeFriends character, Gleeful Sugar Glider. This art is meant to be a reminder for you to be creative with how you achieve your goals. Part of that is—like Gary Vee says—doubling down on what you’re good at, and the other part of it is being practical about it. The sugar glider knows it can’t fly like a bird, but it also figured out that using a fan (i.e. leveraging a tool or a resource) can go a long way to fulfilling that dream, even if it’s not perfect.

In many ways, David sees himself in GSG. Even though he is a big comic book fan, David doesn’t have the skills nor the patience to be a full-on comic book artist, but by leveraging what he CAN do, the VeeFriends community has become his electric fan (yes, the pun is intended). And for however long and high he can go, David will always be grateful.

This token was created by artist David Hu (@max.the.miata) as a concept art for a retro-tastic, 8-bit, platformer-style video game. In this game, Max must collect as many bobas as possible for energy while navigating challenges on the way.

This project is the first official, non-archived project of the “Max the Miata” collection and was created as a thank-you to Max’s community of supporters. This art represents Max’s “first jump” into the second phase of his evolution as a cartoon character.

This Cool Cat, named Katana, is a local sushi chef. Max and Katana are fishing over a tranquil river that feeds into the ocean. Some of the best saltwater fish migrate upstream here, and Katana is determined to take advantage of the season.

As usual, Max can’t stay awake long enough to help, but Katana doesn’t mind, as Max keeps great company. Plus, Katana enjoys the sound of water flowing by and splashing whenever a fish is caught; it takes her mind off the busyness of her shop.

This Cool Cat, named Captain Nori, is an avid diver and spends most of his days looking for treasures on the seafloor. To help Captain Nori search among a kelp forest, Max has transformed into a submarine and shines much-needed light into the darkness with his eyes.

And what luck—the two friends stumble upon a shiny crypto coin! Looks like they’ll be enjoying an extra round of sushi at Katana’s shop!
