Bomb Story: The Hundreds started by being rooted in '80s and '90s culture. Metric Adam is imagined in an era of 3D shapes, pop art and geometric shapes that were actually a retroactive take on '50s and '60s design. Also, Back to the Future vibes...| Background Story: 
Originating in Scotland as ""tartan,"" we now call this pattern of crisscrossed lines ""Plaid."" Growing up in Southern California during the '80s and '90s, plaid beach volleyball shorts were always in our purview, thanks to labels like Mossimo and Stüssy. When we elevated to making cut-n-sew apparel like button-ups in the early 2000s, plaids made their way into our language as a nod to both the surf culture of the West Coast and Polo's influence on the East. In fact, every plaid speaks to a different subculture. Buffalo plaids were woven into the early New York hip-hop lumberjacks. Shadow plaids on swap meet Pendletons. And The Hundreds plaids, for all.

Bomb Story: Often, Adam Bombs are parodies or flips of outside cultural touchpoints. But sometimes, they are self-referential and meta. Block Adam is an appropriation of an earlier The Hundreds graphic from the 2000s called ""Blocks,"" in which ""The Hundreds"" is written out in cascading block letters. | Background Story: 
If there was ever a pattern that encapsulated The Hundreds, it would be Paisley. Our first big hit, the one that put us on the map, was the all-over-print Paisley hoodie from 2005. There's an unabridged version of this story in Bobby's book, but that sweatshirt sold so much, and sold out so quickly overnight, that we allocated all of those funds to building our first flagship retail store on the corner of Fairfax and Rosewood. The pattern was designed in 2004, on a lesser-remembered piece called the ""Bandana"" zip-up. Over the years, those clusters of buta droplets continued onto The Hundreds T-shirts, across cut-n-sew collections, New Era fitteds, and collaborations with artists. The Paisley print not only defined us, but greater streetwear, as it trickled down into the work of later brands and designers.

Bomb Story: Confused Adam is one of a series of Adam Bombs in various emotive states. Mental health awareness and discussion are important to The Hundreds so we use the emotional Adams to help our community identify different feelings. Also, MOOD.| Background Story: 
Realtree Camouflage is our spin on one of the most classic, heritage camouflage prints. The elements of the artwork point to autumn, but in foliage that is familiar to our own backyard.

Bomb Story: Adam Bomb is The Hundreds’ world famous mascot. Bobby Hundreds illustrated a cartoony Adam Bomb with an anxious, expectant face, based off of The Hundreds’ logo at the time, an iconic silhouette called Solid Bomb. Over the years, Adam Bomb blanketed the world, proudly worn by generations of streetwear fans, topping Times Square’s highest billboard, and collaborating with the biggest name brands and artists. Adam Bomb Squad is the leader of the Adam Bomb Squad and is one of the most recognizable faces in fashion today. The Pure Adam is the classic Adam Bomb logo imagined in a number of The Hundreds-approved colorways, pulled directly from our base palette. Unlike most of the other art in the ABS collection, this NFT features the only Adam Bomb that is colored up in these tones. | Background Story:

Bomb Story: For every design and collaboration successfully executed by The Hundreds, there are a handful of alternatives and pitches that fell through. Some Adam Bombs go all the way to the final stages of the filtration process but are ultimately cut. The reasoning is all over the place: we believed in it, but not enough of our stockists bought into it. Sometimes, it's just that timing is off and the design fails to meet the climate criteria. Regardless, some bombs eventually make their way through but many are often trapped in purgatory. This is one of the lucky few drafts to finally see the light of day.| Background Story:

Duck Hunter, a camouflage born in WW2, is identifiable by rounded, irregular shapes. Duck Tan was our second attempt at Duck Hunter camouflage years after the first debuted around our tenth anniversary. This time, we stayed true to the rounded shapes and also to traditional colors.

From our beginnings in the Fall of 2003, The Hundreds has relied on the tubular, open-ended cotton of a boxy, blank as our canvas. This is the same T-shirt that Bobby and Ben wore growing up, mixing and matching them 3 for $10 at the local swap meets. The independent skate brands of the 1990s, the streetwear brands of the early 2000s, all co-signed the same cut. Even when the clothing industry chased ringspun apparel or fashion silhouettes, The Hundreds held to the inspirational baseline. Our solid backgrounds are hues from the original swatch card that we built the brand off of.

Bomb Story: Although The Hundreds started off as a men’s brand, early on, there was a sister line called TENS that shared the same inspiration and aesthetic. Madam was the TENS’ brand mascot and borrowed the same colors and styling of Adam, but reflected the strong and charismatic women that surrounded us in streetwear. Unfortunately, TENS only lasted a few seasons, but Madam was intermittently brought back into The Hundreds’ world, recently making a cameo in the 2021 Adam Bomb collection. Today, she holds it down as an on/off-again love interest for Adam and a good and loyal friend to the Adam Bomb Squad. The Pure Madam is the classic Madam Bomb logo imagined in a number of The Hundreds-approved colorways, pulled directly from our base palette. Bomb Story: Dominick Deluca is the owner of Brooklyn Projects, the storied LA skate shop on Melrose. Dom is also like a big brother to Ben and Bobby, having been one of the first accounts to stock The Hundreds in the early 2000s. Dom asked/demanded that we do an Adam friend named Dom Bomb, sharing his physical features. We drew this rendition of a modern-day Dom for a big birthday party. Along with Adam, Madam, and Badam, Dom Bomb is one of the few recurring friends of the Squad.| Background Story: 
Horizontal stripes, especially of the yarn-dyed variety, are a staple of The Hundreds' collection. Earlier on, they were derived from the surf knits and beachgoer patterns that graced the backs of Californians in the 1980s. Examples include Hang Ten, OP, Quiksilver, and Gotcha. In the following decade, independent skate brands and rave companies capitalized on stripes across boxy, baggy tops. Whether they're fatter stripes across neighborhood-sanctioned Charlie Browns or pinstripes across suiting or a baseball jersey, The Hundreds' stripes speak to a spectrum of subcultures.

Bomb Story: Sports cards were the original NFTs for us. In 2021, Bobby Hundreds even collaborated on a series of Topps baseball cards to pay homage to his first experience with collectibles. This collection acknowledges this pastime with a showcase of three different sports cards revealing Adam’s various athletic sides.| Background Story: 
Zebra prints are a recurring language throughout fashion and rock music. There is also something very '80s about animal prints, all things that are very close to our hearts at The Hundreds.

Bomb Story: We are proudest not of fashion collections or streetwear pieces, but of the relationships we've built and the next generation we've helped raise. Nothing makes us happier than to see men and women who grew up under The Hundred's tutelage reigning in their own storied careers. Umi Wagoner was one of our first shop employees, who then went on to manage The Hundreds Los Angeles during the foundational RSWD years. He then moved to Tacoma, Washington and opened ETC, a streetwear boutique that holds it down for his community. For ETC's 2-year anniversary, we partnered with Umi and his team on a capsule collection. We offered him our Apple Bomb for the line since Washington is known as the Apple state.| Background Story:

The graphic is an homage to the hairstyle option posters that hang in neighborhood barbershops. Adam's hairdos, however, reference the various subcultures and eras that speak to The Hundreds' inspirations.| Background Story:
